This month we shine the spotlight on project “WE CAN - Working on Environmental Community Action Now” funded under the Active Citizens Fund programme in Cyprus and implemented by Cans for Kids.
The project aims to offer opportunities in environmental and philanthropic volunteerism to citizens otherwise not engaged. For eight months, through education and training, Cans for Kids’ volunteers will reach out to youth and community groups by organising hands-on activities that will contribute to efforts towards sustainable and responsible recycling in Cyprus.
On the 30th of November the WE CAN project held a community clean up campaign starting at the University of Nicosia. The project has also delivered and installed can banks to the elementary school in Mitsero, the University of Nicosia, and Lemba in Paphos. Keep track of project updates here.
