The ACF Cyprus project of the month for February 2023 is “CAN-CY - Civic Action Now in Cyprus” funded under the Active Citizens Fund programme in Cyprus and implemented by the Future Worlds Center in partnership with the Centre for Sustainable Peace and Democratic Development - SeeD Cyprus.
CAN-Cy is a youth project aiming to improve the integration and meaningful participation of young people in civil society and socio-economic life in Cyprus, by providing a platform to share their visions and ideas towards the future. Read more about the project here.
For the first months of its implementation, the CAN-Cy project has been running an online and offline campaign, including ideation workshops in the North and South of the island, inviting youth across Cyprus to share their thoughts and visions for a better future. These ideas will go through a selection process where the most concrete of them will be translated into actionable projects and presented to stakeholders and local authorities for implementation.
